Thank you, Ben, for accepting my friend request. I am a big admirer of your work as well and have your latest book of patterns! Enjoy your children and good luck with all the work deadlines. I would love to take credit for tatting that beautiful centerpiece. I rescued it from an antique store in Southern California it had a price tag that said "Crochet Doily $20.00" can you believe it? I snatched it right up and bought it and THEN told the proprietor that it was actually a rare tatted doily...LOL! I have two books that have that centerpiece pattern in it and I have wanted to tat it or years. I'm so glad to have it and it has found a very loving home with me...LOL! Thanks for your comment.Good luck with the Sacre' Coeur doily and Happy Tatting,

A bit of a late response... so many deadlines to meet at work (and at home with growing up children and such...!) I really appreciate your comments; that's the kind of stufff that keeps my going! Oh yeah, one more deadline to meet: I must finish the Sacré Coeur doily (the Monster project) June 2010! By the way, nice photos you've got, I like the combination of tatting with crochet. ... Take care, Ben.
Thanks for accepting my friend request. You are more than welcome to put my work on your website...I would be quite honored in fact:-) I have actually completed two of your doilies...the center of Eleonore and the oval doily Elegance from your book Floriade.
Hi Ben,
Just had a search of what rommelknoop is and YES, it is exactly the same type stitch in macrame as in the lock stitch chain. If you are really creative with two or more shuttles, you can do the macrame stitches, yet could still be considered tatting. You think??
I like your translation of the term of rommelknoop as "messy knot". It can be messy if not done neatly ;) And I have had my share of messy LSCs! So I take it slowly.
Dear Ben,
