I have been shuttle tatting for 28 years. I was taught by my grandmother after I tried learning from a book. I didn't know she knew how as I had never seen her do it, or seen her shuttle. I have taught a few people to tat, but there doesn't seem to be many avid tatters around here. I'm excited to see all the sharing happening on the web, and I want to be a part of it!
Hi Wanda, You left a message on my page saying "the pattern is on my blog". That's nice. What pattern are you referring to? Did I leave a comment on one of your photos? Perhaps you could shed some light on "which pattern" you are referring to. :)
Thanks.
Hi Wanda. thanks for the welcome note. Will try to update photos of my tatted pieces. The links n tutorials are very helpful for me as a begineer. thanks. Your works are beautiful.
Let me just say thanks for the welcome and...Wow! You are so good at this craft. I'm pretty new to it...just learned split rings. A friend showed me this simple heart then some split rings to create a bookmark. I've tried the hedgehog and cat from Bestitched. It gets easier with each project. I have given away most of the first stuff I have made. I will try to get pictures on my website. I love the Christmas tree on your photo gallery.
I Learned tatting long ago. In my first ring the knots were all not right, so I wondered how I could go on. But I was happy to meet a lady who explaned what I did wrong. Since that time I learned from books I bought, and later from internet. Split rings I learned real from internet. I make very different things, most from pictures, I found on internet. I've collected about 2000 pictures on internet end this is not the end! Later I will send pictures of my work.
With tatting and bobbinlace greetings
