yes right in Milan there was only a refreshing rain, in other part of Lombardia storms caused seriuos damages.
My neighbour are now ok, with pails we picked up water and threw it into a manhole near the street.

Yes we hade now a warm quite sunny summer, but in June it rained everyday. today there will be violent storms, with strong winds and big hail (until 7 cm!!!)and a lot of rain . A storm is just finished, the garden of my neighbours is completely flooded and my husband and I are going to help to clear all ( thay are more 70 old). but the time to tat is always happy, this is sure!!!
what about weather where you live?

Thank you so much for the warm welcome. Your work is beautiful. I was actually thinking of putting the tatting in my purse because I do have time before class while waiting for the professor. Actually, it is so small, I can just pop it in my pants pocket. I'm going to college for nursing, RN (registered nursing). I have about 1-1/2 years left and still have to take my entry exam. So far I'm at a 3.61 GPA and a B and A in two of my core classes to get into nursing school. So usually I'm hiding up here in my room studying, but what a nice break it is to do this!

I think my pictures are just too big. I like detail, but if it gets in anyone's way, as it has for you, I don't want that to happen.

Going forward, I will take care to make sure that my pictures are a reasonable size.

Replacing pictures is not an option on the ning platform.

Well, it turns out that there are jpegs and there are jpegs. Some of it has to do with which program is used to create the jpeg file and some of it has to do with the operating system and software on the computer that is displaying the pictures.

You can help me identify if a program I use is causing the problem.

Can you view ANY picture I have posted? (Try my photos).

I will keep working on this until I run out of ideas.

Hi Verito,

I can't think of a single thing that would make my pictures misbehave the way you describe. They are just jpegs.

I will do a little research and see if I can fix it.

Blue lace Merletto




This is my first post! And one of the first things I tat.
It is a present for an eighty-something birthday. It's a design from N. Ellison, Lace edge no. 134, 1916. It's combined with mom's crochet (I can't crochet!).
