I am 'new' to the world of tatting, but seeing the tatting treasures of my grandma -- and thanks to the boundless patience of my aunt, I have taken that first step/stitch into the world of tatting. And a beautiful world it is!

Yep that would be me!! I have enjoyed following your blog so much it has given me encouragement to keep at my tatting and I hope to some day be as good a tatter as you. Well, I tried to read the booklet and get the hang of it...but couldn't figure out how to wind the thread on the shuttle.

We just lost one of our 13 year old cats....and are both down with colds....so as soon as I feel better, I want to watch some of the videos and try to follow along.

Thank you, I hope you enjoy all my patterns. I am a heart freak. I like taking a pattern I designed and look at the different ways to change it slightly to give it a different effect. My Lace Petals was one of them. I started out with Deana's Heart and from there Lace Petals and Hearts Desire was born

What Is TattingChic?

People often ask me "What is TattingChic?" , "Is it Tatting-CHICK or Tatting-CHIC (pronounced \ˈshēk\ or "sheik" like the Arabian guys)? My answer to that is..."It's whatever you want it to be!"
