My grandmother tatted, but died before I was old enough to learn. One summer in college my friend and I decided we would figure it out. It took a few months to figure out the flip from books, but I've been hooked ever since.
Welcome to eTatters, Jessica. Neat blog. I'm not sure I could ever have done that. I'm too much of a biblioholic (book a day habit), and those things take up a surprisingly lot of space.
What kind of tatting do you enjoy doing? Do you prefer motifs, edgings, bookmarks, jewelry, doilies or *grin* tablecloths?
Hi Jessica! Thanks for the comment on my blog. I ran right over to say hello and give a shout out to you. Welcome to eTatters. Look at that you are number #1101. That's kinda cool!
Welcome! I think you will enjoy being here. There is so much inspiration and patterns and advice and much much more to find here. And most of all; All the wonderful tatting friends :D.
Look around and have fun. It would be really great to some of your work to.
How long is it since you started tatting? I also learned from a book after inheriting shuttle and thread from my grandfather.
