Yes, please. We can take time out for ourselves while we are at the farm. I have my tools and thread I can bring too. I have tried by looking at the videos and reading the books I bought, but cannot get in the groove. If you can get me started, I will keep practicing until I can produce something that looks like tatting.
I love you for thinking of me and appreciating the crafting I am in to. See you Thanksgiving!!
Love,
Fran

Marie! Marie! I'm so excited! I just did my first split chain stitch. I posted about it on my blog. I even mentioned that I did your method. If you care to see it; here's the link. It'll be after the 10th photo that I mention it.
Thanks so much! You're the best! :)

Hi Marie Smith. Thank you for your compliments. I'm flattered. You did very well, it being your first time at making clunies. I realise the more techniques I've learnt at tatting, there are more out there I haven't come across. It's very exciting.
Thank you Marie! Got the email,,, will check out those links here in a bit after my company leaves. She shouldn't be here too long, since she knows I'm not feeling well today, with this sore throat.
Looking forward to seeing the goodies!
Hi Marie! Yea I have still been around, a little anyway. I am way behind on reading posts though, especially HBT etc. So as to what has been happening with everyone, I have no idea. So I am trying to play catch-up (none too successfully L :( I'm afraid). Thanks for the comment. You are inspiring me to give the cluny a try. Maybe if I can find a simple enough pattern to try, as soon as I can get my last tatting exchange caught up. Hard to believe that cluny motif you did is your first! You did GREAT!!! I am really impressed! Thank you also for your encouragement. I can't tell ya how much encouragement and supports helps.
OK, I want to get serious about learning to tat. So glad to connect with you through eTatters. Taught my new daughter-in-law to weave the melon/fanny basket last week when she was visiting us. She was so good at it and went home with her own basket. Ricky should be proud! Love to you all!!
Thanks for your nice comment on my page about my work. I love clunies, too! I have a piece that is worked with a lot of clunies and I cannot find it!!! As soon as I do I plan on taking a pic and posting it, but it might be a bit...LOL!
