Just to let everyone know I'm still around

I'm sorry if I haven't gotten back to anyone. Life has done a flip on me and I'm just now trying to pick up the pieces and move on. Please give me some time...I know I should be tatting, it would relieve alot of stress. Thanks for all who have posted. I hope to get back soon!

I am an addict - tatting!

I just love tatting. I have been doing nothing for a few weeks. That includes, um...homework (aaah it's only algebra!) laundry (it is piling up to the ceiling), cooking (campbell's soup...hmm hmm good), and these late nights! It is 2:00 a.m. and I can't put anything down! Well, I suppose it is better to be addicted to tatting then some other things! It is a fascinating work of textiles, and certainly an art form in its own right!

Just a begginer

I have just had the greatest time learning how to tat. I want to thank my friend RorysOmi for the new addiction! I also want to thank my aunt, who passed on when I was 15 from cancer, first breast cancer then it hit her liver. She was the one responsible for teaching me how to crochet and knit. Now I understand why she this this so much, it passed her time and got her mind working on other things. She would tat as well, and I would like to be able to make something in tribute to her. She was like a mother to me and for all these years, I have always crochet and knitted with the needles she gave me.

I love tatting because it is incredibly portable. I can work on it between classes. Doesnt take up as much room in my book bag as knitting does. ;)
