My first love is tatting although I also make bobbin lace.

I am a rabid Notre Dame Fighting Irish fan.

Hi,Joy-Patrice Here...I just wanted to let you know that you are not the only one to collect tatting shuttles...I am a needle tatter-and yet I have been collecting shuttles for more than ten years..Go figure...I have more than forty different shuttles-I love them all.Although I don't shuttlle tat-I have tatted with each one-and each is threaded and ready to go.

Thanks for the information about the kniting pattern, Joy. So many lovely designs in those old magazines. I optimistically bought the Lyra pattern when Lacis published it earlier this year, but I think it would be a huge bite too much for me at the moment!

Joy,

Thank you so much for following up on the knitted lace doily pattern. It does not surprise me in the least that the pattern came from one of the Lavori Artistici a Calza series. I have no 11 and adore knitting from it. Lacis used to have many of the numbers in the series but, I went looking for them the other day because I wanted to have a couple more of them, and now see that they have sold out. If you learn of any other sources, please keep me in mind! Many thanks again. Suzanne

I haven't told anyone yet, but I have two more shuttles ordered from Roseground. I just couldn't resist it when I saw some of theres. Someone had mentioned there shuttles and I'm thinking they just maybe constructed a bit differetnt then the ones I already have and OH Well, that's how it goes! I will of coarse post them after they arrived and I have at least used them once just so I can make a more accurate comment on them.

Hi Joy,
I saw all your shuttles in your chest and I thought I had to many, but you have me beet by many! Wait until I tell my friends that I have just started collecting!!! I do have some friends that think I'm nuts having as many as I do, but I just love looking at them and now using them to.

OOps I meant the White one of the right.

There is actually a shuttle on ebay right now very similar I've already been outbid so have a look.
