Good to see so many tatters around! WOO HOO!!!!!!!
I really like working with super fine thread (size 80 and 100). I've looked for finer thread, but could not find any. I like working on larger pieces and have won a few ribbons at the New Mexico State Fair. It's kind of dorky accomplishment, but this is the place to let people know!
At this moment I am working on a table runner in size 100 thread. Hopefully it will be finished by August of 2009 in time to enter into the fair. I've not had a lot of time to make larger pieces like I normally do. But I am actively making time to tat every evening instead of surfing the web.
Hi JJ and welcome. I'm wondering who taught you to tat? and what kind of dogs do you love? Your tatting is awesome. I've been tatting for about 6 months and still using the size 10 and 20 threads. Can't imagine using the 80-100 size, not yet anyway. I don't think that I have seen threads thinner than size 100 either. Wonder what size quilting thread is and some of the thinner silks?
Jerome Jim, if I didn't have such a sturdy computer, you'd owe me a new keyboard. Looking at your tatting, I got drool all over it. Your work is fantastic. Thank you for sharing the photos.
Great stuff Jerome, so precise, even the one that got second, should have been first, I need to take a leaf out of your book and tat instead of surf the web too. HNY
You sound very busy! Good for you. Yup, it does take time for a blog to happen. In the meantime, we'll enjoy your tatting photos here! Hope to see more of them in the future!
