Hi Jane,
Thanks for your comments on my twisting problem. Actually, I did these motifs under the same conditions; I was not anxious or distracted, and I used Olympus for the ones that were much more uniform and well-formed than the ones done with Lisbeth, which was much harder to work with
Granted, I used Lisbeth that I received before Handy Hands addressed the problems submitted by tatters: little knots, uneven spots, uneven dye, splitting and so forth.... but I would never order more of it.
I am not experiened, but I can tell by my tatting projects and by tactile enjoyment which threads are superior in composition, uniformity, and dye etc..
If you have not bought any Lisbeth yet, I would be happy to send you some samples of it so that you can judge it for yourself.
Regards,
Fox : )
Hi Jane...I'm in a project the "conquer" you pattern ^_^. I fall in love with your pig design. And yaiiks, my first wall : It's hard to manage the 4th ring (od the onion ring). It become too tight and not really easy to close. after the 5th join I can't pull it AT ALL :((.
Any suggestion? I use mercher thread size 20, and I've tried to make the tension as loose as possible, but still...it's kind of difficult.
Hi Jane, I found the self-threading needles that were only sold in one brand, in a packet that has a few lengths. I could not get the thread in and now feel rather like an idiot not being able to get a self-threading needle to work! Fox
There you are! Now, so as to not disconcert those reading your comment wall with discussions of goose poop, I will address that in a private message. When 'New!' appears on the envelope at the very top left of the page (any page), click on it to pick up the message.
Thanks for the response to my request that you join my friends. Something went sideways, as you are not showing up in my friends yet. I think you need to click on part of the request itself. There should be an accept/decline option in it. Of course, you can always decline...
Jane, I'm glad you saw it! No, I did not receive a comment to moderate or I most certainly would have made sure it got put on the comments. I'd be honored if you tried again, after all, you are the genius designer! Sometimes blogger does funky things with the comments I've noticed.
