Am I not responding?

My job sends me travelling every now and then. If I am quiet for a longer period and don’t respond, I'm some were talking about geometry, stars or what ever, or folding paper (yes, it is part of my job), with no computer online. Send me a PM or e-mail to get my attention quickly after my return online.

The quest for a centre piece - 6

Getting there – slowly! The last row is now halfway done.
My plan was not to post any photo until the centre piece was completed, but as it is a month since last entry, I decided to post yet another progress photo.

The quest for a centre piece – 5

The lack of internet access at home makes way for some more time for tatting. Now I am at the last row of the centre piece – there is “only” 29 rings of rings left to go…

The quest for a centre piece – 4

The worst dragon making craze has started to wear down, so I can start focusing on other projects. I was at a conference down south (though for most of you it would still be north) and was able to tat for hours on airplanes. Thus; I now have one and a half row left to go at the centr… Continue

Dragons on the loose!

I have lost control over my dragons – as the pattern is now available online ;-) Wonder where they will pop up?

Happy tatting dragons everyone!

I just saw your "homework" and have to say that's absolutely brilliant, using a ribbon in place of the coronation cord. Have you ever thought about using some of those silky macramé cords? There must be a right size for a coronation cord replacement. But what you did with the ribbon is stunning! Well done!

It was you! Just found your comments about how you have 6 Aeros now, but had trouble at first- November 10th! Well, I am glad you were so convincing - Thanks : )

Hi Anne,
I tried looking through old forum conversations and could not confirm if it was you who told me how much you liked the shuttles with the hook. I said I could not use them. Well, if it was indeed you, I wanted to say, you were right! They take some getting used to, but I am starting to really enjoy my Aeros! Regards, Fox : )

Anne,

This is the reply that I received from Pam Kirk about the knitted lace on my page. You might be able to find the book with this info.

"Joy, I'm sorry I didn't get back with you sooner. I had to find the pattern and then I had to deal with my slow dial-up internet which didn't do well with all the shoppers jamming things up. That pattern came from an Italian knitting publication, Lavori artistica a calza 10, Editor Mani Di Fata. I also have 7 and 9. Like most of these publications there is no credit given to the designer. The only date in these is for what looks like a name registration in 1973. I purchased them in the early 80s and haven't seen any of them for years. The patterns are incredible and versatile. A lot of them start with a small doily and then expand the pattern to a centerpiece size and then expand again to full tablecloth size. The one in the picture is a centerpiece size. It has 226 rounds of knitting. I'll bring the books to the next meeting so that you can see them. We may have some of these in the GLLGI Library but I'm not sure. Thanks for getting the word out about the knitting class because I would really like to have it fill up! Thanks and have a Merry Christmas, Pam"

Thanks for your intrest. Joy
